    • Murray should be solid. I'll wait until he plays against NBA competition. In Ivey's worst case scenario (can't shoot), Murray ends up better. In every other scenario, Ivey does

      • Well, they both could be really good. I love the Ivey pick just because he’s ideal next to Cade. Should make his life way easier. Mathurin would have been nice, but Ivey is the clear superior prospect.

Ivey is like Jameson Williams. They both just move differently. Just another gear that nobody else has. They just pop off the screen. Those types are rare.

        • Ivey is tough, too. I was watching him and he fell and hit his head. He just got up and kept playing. Never even complained to the ref after an obvious foul. Should be fun times with our new backcourt.

              • Jalen has more of that smooth vertical game. Jaden has that low dip (like Kayvon or Von Miller) where it’s cat like. He gets low and explodes like a jaguar hunting. The lateral quicks with Ivey is elite.

                • Ivey can get up, don’t get me wrong. But he has that unreal ability to turn and hit the burners.

                    • I thought having Beilein on the team was pretty average before but with all these young guys I couldn’t be happier. His fundamental approach for guys like Ivey who need work on their game hopefully will pay off big if they embrace it.

Cade and Beilein is a match made in heaven with how methodical and calculating Cunningham plays.

Yeah, about that. Cody and I have some concerns there about longterm durability. He ends up on the floor a lot. More then most players, TBH. Usually under the basket and he jumps back almost horizontal to the floor to get the shot off. Which he makes at a good clip. Then he falls on his back side. That's sacrifice, but, Idk how many of those will end with him having back issues. They need to coach him away from that.

As a reference, he did it a couple times on MSU.

You can see it here at the 1:30 mark. Great shot though

When I saw that live I thought he was hurt. I'm glad he wasn't

                        • It’s just something to keep in mind down the road. Reminiscent of Dwayne Wade. Wade fell off quickly in his early 30s due to injuries.
I hope Ivey cleans that up. The game needs to slow down mentally for him with that elite speed / acceleration.
Yeah, I’m crazy to think that far ahead into Ivey’s career. Obviously having a decade of ‘good Ivey’ would be a huge win.

                          • If you clean that stuff up, you take away some of the effectiveness. The best thing he can do is put time in the weight room. Your best case scenario is someone like Curry who hits the ground a lot on drives but knows how to fall and is helped by the muscle he has put on over his career.

                            • When I first saw the Ivey clips the person that came to mind was Dwayne Wade.....Keep in mind, Dwayne wasnt a great shooter when he came out of college either....Of course its a pipe dream to hope that Ivey turns into Dwayne Wade, but you can see some early similarities for sure.

                              • Yeah agree with that.

I think he will fill in and get thicker.

BTW, have you guys seen Cade lately? He's been hitting the weights. Pretty good for a Vegan. IDK if I could eat that many vegetables. My wife used to say chicken and fish were my side dishes
