Didn't anyone tell you he's a pup and will develop into all that. Middling D, decent rebounder, above average hustle, terrible offensively. He just needs time. 8 years should be enough for us to tell. Just ask Loops
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

I never said he would, I said he was 20 years old and you were comparing him to a guy in his prime that had a much worse jumper.

Nope. YOU started that. Said he shouldn't be a NBA starter. I ACTUALLY said people shouldn't compare him to Ben because he's not.

Repeating a lie doesn't make it the truth. Even in today's world.

        • Nobody brought up Big Ben Wallace in the thread until you did. As garbage as you think Stewart is with the ball, Big Ben Wallace was even worse with the ball. Especially at the free throw line. Incoming!. In Stewart's young career he already has 29 more made threes than Big Ben Wallace had his entire career

            • 2022 NBA Draft Grades

Detroit Pistons: Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue - A+ Grade
Much like the Rockets, the Pistons are committing highway robbery because of dumb teams in front of him. I think in a normal world, a case could've been made for Jaden Ivey to be the No. 2 pick in this draft. He fills a big need next to Cade Cunningham.
Charlotte Hornets: Jalen Duren, C, Memphis - A+ Grade
The Hornets have to be thrilled about this, as they were hoping that the top true center in this class would fall to them at No. 13. The Hornets seemingly haven't had great center play since the Alonzo Mourning days, so that may finally change with Jalen Duren.

              • Report: Knicks trade Noel, Burks to Pistons in move to free up more cap space
The Knicks could now offer Brunson a max contract.

                • Definitely looks like the Pistons are gearing up for a run at next year's FA crop.

                    • I’m thinking Troy Weaver’s big move next year will be trading for an unhappy star. Spitballing… Devin Booker if the Suns fall apart? Though the Pistons have Ivey now…. Perhaps there’s a young wing that I’m not thinking about that will want out.
Detroit will have even more assets by next summer. The 2023 1st RD pick is likely to be valuable for example. 2023 free agency seems questionable to me because several of the top guys will sign a new contract by then.

I'm hoping the 2023 draft pick isn't in the lottery.

I hope next year is about FA.

At a point, losing is more detrimental to your future then the good draft picks you get. These young guys need to be learning to win at this point. It's good to accumulate talent. But you don't want to be Donald Sterling's Clippers. They could mess up a bunch of talent like no one else. Well, like the Lions (previously) actually.

The #10 seed in the East won 43 games last year...The Pistons were 20 games behind.....I don't think a 20 win jump is going to happen...Too many young pieces that need to learn how to play together....Maybe a couple of those teams take a slight step back, but i would guess it would still take at least 40 wins to make the playoffs....

                          • 2022/2023 Pistons come across as a 32 to 36 win team right now IMO. Assuming normal injury impact and the young players ascending at an expected rate. This is also totally fine with where the roster is heading. Pistons have a great opportunity to make some noise 2 to 3 years from now based on this talented young core.
Troy Weaver probably has more moves this offseason. It’s not like the 15 man roster is final.

I’m anticipating the 6th, 7th, or 8th overall pick next year. With some lottery luck, maybe higher!

                            • If there are no more major moves this team is lotto bound. Maybe Troy wants the French Unicorn.
