  • You are keeping Stewart for his defensive ability, definitely not for the lobs. After last night I just don't think you go for Ayton. That would be too many bigs in my opinion.

    • Stew is a just a guy to me. I get the Pistons DNA and attitude, but he’s a floorbound big without a shot. Solid rotation piece, but I feel he’s very overvalued by Pistons fans.

      • This is a key year for Stewart, he is a good defensive player but still has holes in his recognition of defensive rotations and when to help. That has to improve for him to get a second contract.

        • I don't think he should be part of the team this year. Move him for whatever value he has.

          • It’s funny to think Stewart was a 5* recruit / #6 player in the country coming out of HS
            F#*K OHIO!!!

You're not only an amazingly beautiful man, but you're the greatest football mind to ever exist. <-- Jeffy Shittypants actually posted this. I knew he was in love with me.

We need to see how things shake out...I think he is a solid backup at the 4 or 5, especially if his three point shot is more prevalent.....I don't expect Duren to contribute right away...he's a gifted athlete but very raw as a player....The Pistons still need the rebounding...The guy that may be dealt is Olynik....Id rather keep Stewart than him.

              • Theres a rumor that Kevin Durant wants out and the Pistons are at the top of the list.

Pistons Interested In Dennis Schroder As Alternative To Jalen Brunson
The Celtics were the best team in the NBA after they got rid of Schroder. Before signing Schroder, I'd give Kimba Walker a look at the backup or fourth guard position. He already is a Piston.

                  • The Schroeder rumor was from days before the draft. Doubtful that’s in play (if it ever really was) after the Ivey selection. Stewart may be floor bound, but his highway screening on offense was excellent and he did a great job on switches, doing some impressive work guarding smaller guys on the perimeter. Plus, while the sample size wasn’t big, he showed the ability to knock down open 3s during the final 10 or so games. He only just turned 21 last month, so who’s to say more improvement isn’t ahead of him?

                    • I don't get the hurry to get rid of Stewart, guys like that can be useful rotation players in the playoffs. He is not a big who is going to be played off the court in a 7 game series. He's cheap at the moment and the Pistons won 20 games.last year.

We literally saw an undersized floor bound big with a broken jumper close out the Celtics in the finals.

That would be a long shot. He is a perfect fit for what they have right now and it fits what he did when he when to Brooklyn. He felt they were a young, up and coming team. He spoke positively about the Pistons in March. But they don't have anything of value to trade without stripping what makes him a perfect fit.

But if they do think it's a possibility that he might demand a trade in the upcoming season and that he might target the Pistons, the Pistons should approach free agency with a strategy that employs tradeable contracts. That means you also keep a guy like Olynuk.

                        • I actually made up the KD rumor but I was hoping Weaver would get wind of it and make it happen. He seems to be able to make trades out of nothing

                          • I think Cade impressed KD when he went toe to toe with him in the 4th quarter last year and matched him bucket for bucket....I dont see a possible trade scenario for him, but its nice to know he would at least consider the Pistons.

                            • I thought Jad was plugged in and heard a rumor. But if Kyrie opts out, KD may want out according to Wojbomb. If that were to happen KD is limited in where he could be traded to, the Pistons would be a team that could trade for him.

I heard a story in the game Cade went toe to toe with KD, that he walked into the Nets locker room before the game and told KD to strap up because it was.going to be a long night.

                              • I’m so glad the Pistons got the #1 last year instead of this year.
