Dude. They're getting you caught up in a discussion about nonsense. IDGAF if college or the G-League is better. Cade is a better player overall then Green period. I have yet to see 1 article from anyone stating their local team won the lottery to select Green. Yeah, group speak is a thing, but in this case the talent disparity is obvious.

No. Cade is not LeBron. But he is a lot closer then anyone else in this draft.

Plus, Weaver's a bad man. He made 3 1sts appear last year. He can do it this year without touching that #1.

Anyway. Cody, and other hoops fans, what do you think of my favorite second round potential draftee:

Jericho Sims Scouting Report: 2021 NBA Draft

Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

    • Pistons need to package all three of their 2nd RD picks and move up for a guy they like. That's my first thought. No room on the roster for that many players.

Jericho Sims. Heard that he is very polarizing. If you just look at Sims' highlights, might have the best highlight tape in the class. Highlights though! Meaning... Sims is a flashy guy. Texas had the most embarrassing loss in the NCAA Tourney too. Don't know much about Sims outside of that.

If the Pistons can package their picks for one guy, I'm interested in Isaiah Todd. Decent forward from the G-League. Todd was actually committed to Michigan for a while, but ended up going to the G-League. + Todd can shoot the 3!

There are a couple 3 & D guys from Michigan that I would love to see the Pistons give a shot. Isaiah Livers and Chaundee Brown. Mid-late 2nd RD or undrafted guys. Beilein is familiar with Livers.

        • Just think how great he would have been if Todd went to Michigan.

I can believe all that. Sims is not a guy that can single-handedly win you games. He is a complementary piece that you need to match up to other athletic bigs in the league. When another team wants to play big boy bully ball, you roll him and Stewart out there and make them change their minds.

I watched him during the combine and he was dunking over everyone. He was jumping so high, he was actually looking down at the rim. He was actually a Star there. He seems like a great backup to Stewart and potentially if he was on the floor with him, that would be a lot of rim protection. Kind of like Rodman and Salley. I have not spent much time watching him (even though in that video I posted, they broke him down pretty good, AND he smashed Cade's shot at the 0:30 mark. He would be a really good screen and roll guy for Cade/Hayes/Grant/Bey.

He's supposed to go (from the mocks I've seen) in the middle of the second, but I think he will go sooner. He looks like he will be a good defender and rebounder with the ability to scrap up 10 pts a game.

I think he broke a record for the highest vertical jump ever.

Also, everyone wants the big time scorers, but you need defenders and rebounders too.

If they want to move up they could include J Jackson in the trade. There is said to be a few teams that wouldn't mind trading for him.

              • Watched a little of Sims. Can picture him as having a Clint Capela role at the 5 if everything works out for Sims in the NBA. An athletic 5 that can set screens, rebound, and score in the paint. Lazy comparison, but reminds of of Jaxson Hayes from Texas... drafted a few years ago.
Not against the idea. Sims being old and not having the ability to shoot the 3 hurts his stock.

I like the idea of aiming for someone that doesn't need the ball to have success.
Adding to the list: Jeremiah Robinson-Earl from Villanova and Quentin Grimes from Houston are productive guys from college that come to mind... Those two prospects are commonly mocked at the top of the 2nd RD.

Cade Cunningham has to wait nine more days before, barring a stunning trade, the Detroit Pistons select him No. 1 overall in the 2021 NBA draft

                        • Pistons Draft-And-Stash Prospects, Possible Offseason Departures

July 19th, 2021 at 9:10pm CST by Alex Kirschenbaum
                          • The Pistons will get to choose from a handful of highly-touted NBA prospects with the top selection of the 2021 draft. Where Detroit opts to go in the second round of the draft is less clear. In a new piece, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic examines several possible draft-and-stash prospects the Pistons could pursue in the second round. Detroit has the Nos. 37, 42 and 52 picks in the second round. Edwards examines the fits of several draft candidates, including Zalgiris Kaunas guard Rokas Jokubaitis, Minas wing Guilherme Santos, Paris Basketball guard Juhann Begarin, and Antwerp Giants forward Vrenz Bleijenbergh.
                          • Among 2020/21 season holdovers, the Pistons will face some interesting roster decisions in the summer, writes Keith Langlois of Pistons.com. Langlois notes that restricted free agents Hamidou Diallo and Frank Jackson, forward Josh Jackson, deep-bench center Jahlil Okafor, 2019 draft selections Sekou Doumbouya and Deividas Sirvydis, and guard Tyler Cook all could move on during the offseason.

                            • Cade

Dano, I've been geeking out to see if he's the real deal or someone they've just artificially propped up. He reminds me of if Grant Hill and Alan Houston had a spliced love child.

I think he gives them better options then Green. Suggs is ok, but you can get a guy like him further down in the draft.

The guy that I would pick if Cade wasn't available would be Evan Mobley. He (like Cade) can defend multiple positions and play further out then just in the paint. And he can actually run the break and bring the ball up court.

The vast majority of writers and analysts across the country feel Cade is the best of this class and I would have to agree with them.

                              • You know the thing that worries me? Weaver. The guy is really good at making deals. Can he resist NOT making a deal and just taking THE guy? If this were the NFL I would hoping we could drop down a spot or two and accumulate a bunch of picks. But, in the NBA the league (and refs) give the benefits to superstars. And this team doesn't have one. They need THAT guy to make everyone better.

I guess we will find out in 1 week.

Wings tomorrow and this weekend and the Stones next week. Then the Lions will be starting Training Camp. Yeah!
