Nah... there's no need to go that far. KCP is a perfectly good defensive two-guard, and you need SOME defensive presence in your starting five, especially in a league where the dual-threat point guard has become king.
That said, I think Brook's dreams of KCP becoming the next Eddie George is a bit misplaced.
I'm just saying KCP is a top 10 SG in wins produced (5th highest actually). He's legit and he's hasn't reached his prime by any stretch. In the era of Steph Curry and finesse ball, he's worth his weight in tacos IMO... but you guys knew that already.
I will concede Arron Afflalo abused him, but in his defense, the whole team looked like they were out at Scores until 5am the night before the Knicks game.

It's hard to remember a worse performance. Reggie was completely dismantled by Wall. The Pistons bigs were destroyed by Washington's bigs (although I liked that Baynes didn't back down.. while getting dunked on...). KCP was the only guy looking like he wanted to play basketball (at least for the first half, I couldn't watch the second half).
Ugly ugly ugly. There are some leadership issues with this team still.

You have this man-love for mediocre 2-guards that boggles the mind.
KCP is completely average. You have these dreams of the next Eddie George, when in reality... he's just a good defender with a below-average shooting touch. He's not special. He's probably never going to be special. Yet the Pistons can get blown out by 40, and you're trying to convince everyone his shit doesn't stink.
It's disturbing. At least with Hamilton, the dude had a stretch where he was legitimately one of the Top 10 best at his position. Pope has done absolutely nothing to deserve the reverence you shower on him with every other post. I don't even think his girlfriend thinks as highly of him as you do.
Wow. Thank you. Got a tablet last month, and apparently I've talked about the former Titans running back enough that it's been auto correcting to George.
Man for two weeks I thought we were talking about Eddie George...
So Chemi re-read my post about that embarrasing loss... I said KCP was the only player that looked like he wanted to play (for at least one half of a game). His effort was good. Nobody else's except maybe Baynes was. I didn't say anything else about his ability or skills in that post. I realize you are not actually watching the games and this is more of a social need for you, but still, you should understand the context of the comments made.
You say I'm blinded, but I really think you've got an unhealthy blinding obsession with what I think or post going on (and I can't imagine why). Why do you care that I like KCPs defense and intensity so much? I don't care what your opinion is on basketball players in the slightest.
And to be fair I do believe I call him Eddie Jones - lite. And I hope I worded it in a way that wasn't seen as a guaranteed declaration of what KCP will be. Just that I have an optimistic general sentiment about him and still have high hopes for him.
Bottom line I think KCP helps the Pistons win games and is the hardest working piston on the team by a good margin. I like his game obviously. What's the big deal?
