Certainly was by the skin of their teeth. Feel a bit sorry for Lampard but his side have been equally as inconsistent as Villa over the course of the season. Aston Villa still really isn't out of the woods. Without some significant improvements to their side, they'll be bumped right back down to the Championship in very short order. Bear in mind, they didn't even win the league this year, they literally eked in after finishing fifth in the table.
