                      • Dear Lions Forum,

Words fail to deliver the heartfelt message I am compelled to send to you at this moment; a moment of weakness, of shame, of regret. I will start by asking for your forgiveness and consideration as I suffer an earlier decision I made. I am neither proud nor content with what I have done but feel I have paid dearly and can only hope you understand.

It started this afternoon with an innocent trip to the Lions' official site to read more on the passing of WCF. I don't know if it was the grief or the fact that none of you have noticed my numerous attempts to regain the spark we had in the past (not even one comment on the Honolulu blue undergarments I have been wearing in honor of my very first post in this forum so long ago). Regardless, while in the official team site, I regretfully clicked on the forum there.

It felt so fresh and new. Clicking and seeing the virgin threads, unopened, unread, and beckoning my attention. Well, one thing led to another, and I am sorry to say, before I knew it, I was three pages deep into a filthy, sweaty, disgusting conversation about season tickets. Oh I didn't directly participate, no, but I stood in the corner and watched. Oh I watched and grinned, and shamelessly indulged by reading each nauseating comment with a sick need for more. Before I knew it, I had read pages of inane stupidity. I watched each and every conversation degrade into junior high challenge of manhood.

It progressed until my morbid fixation was shocked into reality. I noticed I had read at least an hour's worth of rebelyankeeisms. I felt so dirty that I had to scrub with a wire brush of shame sprinkled with sea salt and powdered cleanser. No blue kool aid/lysol concoction can change me back to the untouched prom queen I once was for you all. All I can do is beg for your understanding and hope you can believe that I will never stray again.

In 1936, Escanaba, Michigan harvested and processed 100,000 sq. ft. of

                                Note:
There were several 'elixirs' on the market at that time, including what
would later be called Coca Cola. These contained alcohol, whereas
Vernor's didn't. Thus the name 'soft' drink.

The intersection of Woodward Avenue and Grand Avenue in Detroit proudly

country wrote that it would never catch on. Duh?

The world's first painted highway center lines were featured in Trenton,
Michigan in 1911. They were used in other towns and that was how Center
