Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

I agree, it is a do not miss for anyone that visits the area and truly is a hidden Gem (although not hidden to me as it is in my back yard).
Mark, I highly recommend the Rouge Plant Tour as well.

I used to work there so it will be fun to see the major changes.

Their fishing pond leaves something to be desired though.

I can still taste the medical grade beryllium and old school striped tube socks.
Where are we going; and what's up with this hand basket?

            • Hmmmmm.

I am sure this belongs in the Politics thread but, my random thoughts from the Senate shutting down the legal monitoring of phone calls in the name of Homeland Security and then, this.........

The overwhelming inability to detect a planted threat by the TSA?

Warning, the link provided makes me watch advertisements I would dismiss if I could.

Airport screeners failed to detect explosives and weapons in nearly every test that an undercover Homeland Security team conducted at dozens of airports.

              WTF?

80% of 10-year-old girls surveyed in the U.S. have been on a diet.

Did they take this survey at the exit of a Weight Watchers meeting?

------------------------------It's all about space. Ability to continually expand roads to accommodate increased population is limited to availability of land to do so. Cities are built, business moves in taking up land, more people move in taking up land. No place to expand roads unless you start building raised roads over other roads. Ann Arbor is a great example of a very cramped city.

                          • Calvin Johnson and LeBron James are the most talented players you will ever see play in their sports.
I find it interesting that most people respect/ like Calvin, but a lot of people don't like LeBron. Just shows what personality does to perception. Calvin is as humble as it gets. LeBron is a diva, though has gradually become better at not showing that.
If LeBron had Calvin's personality to begin with, maybe people would be more willing to think he is the greatest of all time.... or at least like him.

                            • If Lebron had Calvin's personality he might not be as successful. It's fun to root against Lebron, I like to do it, but there is no question that he's doing everything he can to win titles. Nearly every basketball player in the position he's in has some assholish tendencies.
