Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

  • Does it matter much - it's no longer a running game. Maybe 2015 was an anomaly but there was just 7 1000 yard rushers, only two above 1100 yards (well three if you count Gurley with 1106)

Didn't he miss like a quarter or half a season? If so I would count it. I mean that's a huge yards per game, so full on feature RB territory.

That's a good point because of how much passing the ball has become the NFL.

Aaron Brown was another RB I forgot to mention. Anyone remember him?
I liked that RB at a moment ...

Your chances of consistently making the playoffs year in year out are pretty much nil if you can't run the ball at least to league average totals. If you expect to, you better have a HOF QB calling the shots on offense. Your best hope if you don't is that you have a Cinderella type season (ala G-men in 2011), because the next year you are unlikely to return to the playoffs.

Of the 12 teams that make the playoffs every year, you will be hard pressed to find 2 in the bottom 1/3rd of the league in rushing. You still have to keep teams honest in this league - even with all the pass happy rule changes.

          • Someone has figured out how not only to make the playoffs, but be consistantly in the Conference Championship game, and more importantly, how to seal the deal.

No one can say NE has not been dominate.

Everyone can question how much do you want to cheat to do it.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

If it gets us even 10% of the success we should cheat to a level that makes BB look like a saint.
