    • One day after being released by the Detroit Lions, Ricardo Silva has a new home. On Friday, the third-year safety was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers.

An undrafted rookie out of Hampton in 2010, Silva appeared in 14 games for the Lions, starting six. In 10 games in 2012, he recorded 40 tackles and one interception.

      • Where is Titus Young

Pretty lengthy, but interesting article on Titus Young

The troubled former Lions receiver’s behavior has left everyone who knows him dumbfounded. Is it mental illness, head trauma, drugs—or just a young man lost in his own world?

          • “He just got done working out, and he had a faraway look, like he was looking past you,” Lowe says. “For a minute we thought he got a hold of some bad drugs. He was in Detroit. I know how Detroit gets down. I’m like, ‘I hope you’re not doing any of these new drugs.’ And he was telling me, ‘No, coach, I’m not.’ ”
Ya, Youngs problems are because he was in Detroit because he knows how Detroit gets down.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

                Ok, wishful thinking..........
                The only logical explanation is:
I'm about to die and this is my Jacob's Ladder

                    • D STANTON embarrassing himself tonight in SD. 3 sacks already and counting and a bumbling stumbling backwards (nearly) fumbling variety on the latest one with about 8 mins left in the game. He looks awful.

                              • Cliff Avril out Indefinitely

Seahawks RE Cliff Avril is out indefinitely with an aggravated hamstring injury.
Avril has seemingly been banged up ever since the Seahawks signed him, also missing almost all of spring practices with a plantar fascia tear. His status for Week 1 is unknown. Meanwhile, however, Seattle has gotten explosive edge rushing from UDFA Benson Mayowa, who looks like the real deal. The Seahawks are good and deep enough up front to withstand some missed time from Avril. Aug 26 - 1:08 PM
