Travis Fulgham caught 10-of-13 targets for 152 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 5 loss to the Steelers.


Fulgham has bounced around multiple teams during his two years as a pro but now has a home and a defined role with the Eagles. Philly has been ravaged by receiver injuries this year. They were without their top three options at receiver this week plus Dallas Goedert (ankle, IR). He led the team in targets and no other Eagles player saw more than six looks from Carson Wentz. Fulgham is one of the best adds off the waiver at receiver and has some viability at flex if Philly's receiving room can't get healthy for Week 6.

When you draft a WR at the end of the 6th rd, don't use him and release him after 1 year - you didn't identify shit. If you did, you find a way to use him and DEVELOP him. They are at least trying to use Cephus.

Fulgham's output is simply a byproduct of having NOTHING to throw to in Phily. Literally nothing. Somebody has to get the ball thrown to them.
In fact, right now he's pretty much the only non-rookie WR on their depth chart, and the Rookies really didn't have a camp this year.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Seahawks practice squad DT Damon Harrison has resisted overtures to sign to the Bucs and Dolphins' 53-man rosters.


Per Pelissero, Harrison is happy in Seattle and "ramping up towards joining the Seahawks' active roster." Harrison has spent 13 days in the Pacific Northwest.

• Former NFL running back C.J. Anderson is currently serving as a volunteer offensive coach at Cal, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter (via Twitter). The 31-year-old was a standout during his time with the Golden Bears, and despite going undrafted in 2013, Anderson managed to put together a seven-year NFL career. Following a 2019 campaign that saw him appear in a pair of games for the Lions, Anderson announced his retirement back in September.

Patriots place Brandon Copeland on injured reserve

The Patriots announced they placed linebacker Brandon Copeland on injured reserve Wednesday.

Copeland told teammates he tore a pectoral muscle Sunday against the 49ers.

He appeared in six games, starting four, in his first season with the Patriots after signing as a free agent in March. He has 10 tackles on defense and two more on special teams.

Copeland, who entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013, has played for the Lions and Jets.

In 2017 with the Lions, Copeland tore a pectoral muscle in the preseason, landing on IR.

The Patriots also announced they placed tight end Jake Burt on the practice squad injured reserve.

On August 9, Travis Fulgham was cut by the Lions. On August 19, Fulgham was cut by the Packers. On September 3, Fulgham was cut by the Eagles, but brought back to the practice squad. On October 3, Fulgham was promoted to the active roster.

Since then, Fulgham is the NFL leader in receiving yards.

In a stunning arrival for a player whose NFL career easily could have ended this year, Fulgham tops the list of all receivers in the NFL from Week Four onward with 435 receiving yards.

Fulgham, who initially got to the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick of the Lions out of Old Dominion, has played extremely well for an Eagles team that is struggling mightily with injuries. If not for multiple other wide receivers ahead of him on the depth chart getting hurt, Fulgham never would have had the opportunity to show what he can do.

There are probably a lot of other players who are good enough to star in the NFL but have not been given the opportunity. Fulgham serves as an inspiration to all of them to keep working.

Seahawks releasing Luke Willson

The Seahawks are dropping a tight end from the roster.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the team is releasing Luke Willson.

Willson was a 2013 fifth-round pick by Seattle and returned to the team in 2019 after stints with the Lions and Raiders. He appeared in five games with the team this season, but only played 10 offensive snaps and 31 special teams snaps in those outings.

Willson did not catch a pass, but was credited with three tackles and a fumble recovery. He has 110 catches for 1,295 yards and 11 touchdowns.

The Seahawks activated fourth-round pick Colby Parkinson from the non-football injury list ahead of Sunday’s win over the 49ers. Greg Olsen, Will Dissly, and Jacob Hollister round out the group.

Giants to discuss options for Golden Tate’s role on Sunday

Wide receiver Golden Tate‘s plea for more passes coming his way may result in a loss of playing time.

Tate was absent from practice Wednesday after talking to head coach Joe Judge about his on-field plea for the ball and his wife’s social media posts taking the team to task for not throwing to Tate more often. He returned to work on Thursday, but there may be further punishment to come.

Judge said Friday that there are various possibilities when it comes to Tate’s role against the Washington Football Team and didn’t rule out leaving him inactive or benching him for some portion of the game.

“There are a lot of options we’ll discuss after practice,” Judge said, via Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post.

Tate did not play in the opener, but has played in the Giants’ other seven games. He has 22 catches for 226 yards and two touchdowns.


GOLDEN TATEWR, NEW YORK GIANTS

Giants coach Joe Judge said it's possible Golden Tate won't play Sunday as part of the discipline from his incidents over the past week.


Tate created a stir when he liked a couple tweets that criticized the Giants. The disgruntled receiver has just four catches over the last three games. Sterling Shepard would see increased targets if Tate gets benched this week.
