  • Giants sign former Lions wide receiver T.J. Jones

    7/27/2019 1:39:12 PM
The New York Giants have signed free agent wide receiver T.J. Jones according to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

The Giants are on thin ice at receiver with Sterling Shepard (thumb) currently injured, Corey Coleman (knee) being out for the year, and Golden Tate now appealing his PED suspension to start the season. Originally a seventh-round pick out of Notre Dame, the 27-year-old Jones spent the past four seasons being used sparingly by the Detroit Lions but does have experience as a slot receiver. His signing is likely insurance in case Shepard and Tate are not available to start the season.

          • Theo Riddick visiting Broncos

Since being released by the Lions, Theo Riddick has options.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the veteran running back is scheduled to visit the Lions next.

Riddick met with the Saints Sunday, and his kind of pass-catching ability seemed like an intriguing option there.

But his third-down ability would also be an interesting complement to Phillip Lindsay
Trickalicious - I don't think it is fair that the division rivals get to play the Lions twice. The Lions NEVER get to play the Lions, let alone twice.

                  • Broncos To Meet With Theo Riddick

July 29th, 2019 at 8:36am CST by Zach Links

Former Lions running back Theo RiddickTwitter

The pass-catching specialist had some excellent years in Detroit, but the rise of Kerryon Johnsonlessened his importance with the Lions. When the club signed C.J. Anderson this offseason, it was yet another indication that they could move on from the 28-year-old.

The Broncos already have a No. 1 running back in Phillip LindsayIn addition to the Broncos and Saints, the Vikings are said to have some level of interest in the veteran.

                          • Theo Riddick Down To Broncos, Saints?

July 29th, 2019 at 8:26pm CST by Sam Robinson

Theo Riddick generated some interest after the Lions ended his six-year tenure last week, and the seventh-year pass-catching back looks to be deciding between the two teams he visited. It appears to be a Broncos-or-Saints decision for the veteran back, per Mike Klis of 9News (on Twitter).

Offensive assistants for both teams likely have played roles in this recruitment. Riddick played under Broncos running backs coach Curtis Modkins from 2013-15, with Saints quarterbacks coach Joe LombardiPhillip Lindsay and Alvin Kamara starting and Royce Freeman and Latavius Murray in place as respective complementary pieces. The Broncos have fourth-year back Devontae Booker in place behind Lindsay and Freeman, but Riddick has shown much more as a receiver.

The Saints also lost out on potential target Alfred Morris, who agreed to terms with the Cowboys minutes ago. While Morris and Riddick do not have similar skill sets, the Saints are showing urgency to bring in some help behind their top two backs. Buck Allen has not suited up for camp yet, leaving former Riddick Detroit teammate Dwayne Washingtonsubscription required

Point is, if it was not previously banned and comes out on a new list, and he quits and advises, how can that be a breach of the abuse policy?
