        • I'll keep this on a favorite songs thread instead of starting a new thread.

          • I'm not sure if Sting deserves solo credit there, unless you are just looking at his solo work. If that's the case, I don't think he's top 20.

            Not a bad list, though.

            • Sting has kind of turned into "Stink"

              • I'd say, more like "Itch".

                • Sting wrote almost all of the Police's songs and it's his whole body of work I give him credit for. If I were to split Lennon-McCartney I'd keep Lennon at 2 and drop Paul to 4 or 5

                  • When I refer to him as "Stink" I am speaking specifically of his current solo career. I grew up listening to the Police. Sting had a good solo career from 87-93. since then - blaaaaaahhhhhhh

                    • I agree mostly with post 93 but I will give him a pass on "After the Rain has fallen" and "Desert Rose". I liked those two tunes

                      • Continuing on with The Floyd thread :-) I think Roy Harper did fine with this song? Though Waters to this day (who had lead vocals on the first take) said he could do better than Harper, who (among others) isn't exactly happy with Waters also. Ah the drama of Waters..lol

Interesting, Tony G. I will have to ponder this a bit, but my top 20 would easily have 10 of the same artists you have, but in different order.

                          • There are some in there that I really enjoy and some that were obvious picks due to their body of work.

Not a Stones fan but you have to give a nod to their 60's and early 70's work.
