What's that song during the car commercial (not sure which car brand) with the mom taking the little kids to the hockey game? It sounds something Marko69 would sing in a pub. It's an awesome song.
This is pretty cool. This is from the dress rehearsal of a SNL that they appeared on. I'm pretty sure they didn't end of playing this song, as it was unreleased at the time. This is also cool to me because I went to the SNL aftershow party that night and talked to Jeff Ament, the bass player. As you may notice, he's wearing a MICHIGAN hat so I went up and started talking Michigan basketball with him.
A couple of years later, I went backstage to another show of theirs in Austin but that's another story.

I had a housemate that was friends with one of Eddie Vedder's childhood or teenage friends (actually, Mark Hamill's brother, Patrick). We all went to see them at Austin's Southpark Meadows (a place kind of similar to Pine Knob that has now become a big strip mall) and had backstage passes.
I talked to Jeff and Stone Gossard a bit. I remember talking to Stone about Dennis Rodman, who was also backstage. Stone was saying he didn't think Dennis would be back with the Spurs the next season. He was right. I did not talk to Dennis. Being a huge Pistons' fan, he was actually one of my favorite players ever but I just didn't feel like I could go up and talk to him (I did wind up talking to him briefly, years later when he came into the club in Hollywood that I worked at) but was okay to talk with the other guys from the band.
Later, I got to go into Eddie's trailer with my housemate and Patrick. I didn't really say much to Eddie but I did take a picture of him and Patrick for Patrick. I still have a copy. Eddie then left the bottle of wine he's been drinking on stage and I wound up finishing it. I saved the cork and later gave it to my boss at the time, who was also a huge PJ fan.
I've seen Pearl Jam in concert 3 times and that was the last one. That was in '95, I believe, which is way too long ago. I need to see them again as they are an amazing live band.

JD, you are my hero. And yes, PJ did play that song. I had that episode taped on VHS and watched it for months after. Makes me remember just how big PJ was in the mid 90's.

Really? I thought they played Daughter and Rearviewmirror. Did they play 3 songs?
