Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger are coming to The Fillmore Detroit on November 11 playing all Doors songs. At first I though oh no give it up guys,,, Jim is gone!
Anyway I looked it up on youtube and the lead singer is a guy named Dave Brock he comes from Wild Child, a Doors tribute band. From the videos I've seen, he seems to do an awesome job sounding and looking like a bloated and performing like a sober Jim morrison.

Tom Petty "Free Fallin'" just on radio......., what a great track. Can we dedicate this to the KC Chiefs for 2011? I may be wrong but I think I remember Tom Cruise trying to sing this in a film from a few years back. Might have been Jerry McGuire. I remember my wife getting a bit hot and bothered at that scene...., Cruise fan. Little dickhead.
Bit of more useless info for youz......., every Tuesday night there is a Jazz show on BBC Radio two hosted by Jamie Cullum, not overly interested in Jazz, background music IMO......., but his guest next tuesday is Lars Ulrich from Metallica, speaking about his love of Jazz! I've got this weird vision of a jazz band doing their thing, trumpets, sax, trombones, pianos etc....., and sweaty Lars in the background waiting around to go nuts. Must listen to that show I think......, see what Lars is sayin to it."I'm having much more fun in my 70s in the 20s than I did in my 20s in the 70s.”
