I saw the Monsters of Rock show in '88 at the Silverdome. I think I was in the 8th row. The Scorps were really good then and that's why I thought I'd like them more than Sammy 20 years later (almost to the day). Not quite.

I also remember the show was right after Game 5 of the NBA Finals and Sammy went on about how the Pistons kicked his lakes' asses. That was the height of that series, pre-Zeke with the grapefruit sized ankle and the phantom foul on Lambs.

I must have been in the vicinity of JD at Monsters of Rock. I went to three Metallica concerts in a year span. Too bad they couldn't quit at And Justice For All. Anything after that was shite.

Too bad this band broke up, I'm not big on the Jenny Lewis solo stuff, but I dig Rilo Kiley. It took me 4 years but Under the Blacklight now has sunk in and I can't stop listening to it. They finally matured and make a complete album and then break up. This is where they should be making a string of quality albums. Anyway this album is great to jog to.
