Sorry GJ, never heard of them......., and again, sorry, probably won't search for more. That was pretty darn pish, mate. As a Scotsman, I cringed. My brother went through a spell of listening to some rock, bagpipe stuff but can't remember the names of the bands.

Ye can't beat Big Country for that rock, bagpipe sound. When we went to see them at Hogmanay way back in 83 (into 84) that bagpipe guitar sound was accompanied by real bagpipe players on stage. Was quite incredible to see at 14 years old.

    RIP Stuart Adamson.

      • Speaking of ABBA, I did not know that this 80's song from their lead singer was done in collaboration with PHIL COLLINS whom you can clearly hear banging on the skins and singing chorus. I always sorry of liked this song from back then but could never put my finger on why because I certainly do not like Abba music. It's because I was subconsciously hearing PC music.

          • Definitely recognise that ^ is a song written by a guy who is a genius with words and it's decent. But what I don't understand about that type of music is; how the fk can people listen to that continuously? Just watched that, and it's decent and it's entertaining, but I couldn't give a shit if I don't hear it again for another 5 months, (minimum)
Not taking the piss out of your choices or anything, Panoptes, I'm just saying, my son listens to that stuff constantly. I think if I had that stuff on for 3 hours tops, I'd end up putting my fist through a wall. Definitely an age thing I suppose.

            • Ur spot on. I don't own or ever considered buying any such music. I just recently ran across this and thought it was a lyrical beast with a beat I enjoyed. So I shared it.

                • Was speaking about that ^ Tom Odell song with a buddy earlier today......, He said, "Yeah, John Lennon was indeed a pure genius."
I said, "So Tom didn't write it?"
"NO! The song has been around for effin years mate. Lennon wrote it."

Pretty sure our Tony G would've pointed that out to me. Bloody Beatles wrote everything!
