One of my cousins has a farm in Northern Scotland. One year, (1995 I think)...., he had a great harvest. Crops were fantastic as the weather conditions were just perfect. It was the same year his child survived a disease, the same year he and his wife did their marriage vows again, and the same year his border collie sheep dog survived being hit by a Landrover Discovery.

I was overwhelmed. I wrote to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers to ask them to write a song about him. I got a reply. I was told to piss off because there was fuck all to write about.

A childhood buddy of mine is a musician. I haven't seen him since our mid-20's but we reconnected on FB a few years back. He currently plays in an Atlanta-based band called Yacht Rock Revue. They cover a lot of 70's-80's music and do pretty well for themselves. They also occasionally get to play with some of the original recording artists. Mark is the keyboardist on the right.
