Never really understood the Oasis v Blur argument, musically. Oasis always were in a different league all together. I think that just came about due to Noel Gallagher and Damon Albarn not liking each other very much. Musically, Oasis were out of sight compared to Blur."...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

Bought my OH tickets to see these in Oxford tonight for her birthday (One of her favourite bands), not my type of music particularly, but having said that, it's usually always enjoyable seeing live music.

Very enjoyable evening, the band on before (Black Submarine) had good pedigree in the Verve, but not too good, although a deep vibrating Bass shaking my insides probably didn't help. Echo and the Bunnymen were great though. Lead singer was a bit surly, but still ok. I also ticked a mini bucke tlist item by going into a tiny celler bar that I used to go past when I was younger, but it closed down. It's has reopened so went there after the gig, then we went to the upstairs bar and the band (bar Ian Mcculloch) were having a pint, so thanked them for a great gig!!
They are in the US later this year:-
11th Aug – St. Andrews Hall – Detroit, MIAAL Quintez Cephus
