Alan "Blind Owl" Christie Wilson was the lead singer, and primary composer of Canned Heat. He died 2 months after Morrison/Hendrix/Joplin, and yes was also 27 year old.

Add me to the air and water haters list! Possibly due to the never ending playing of "Yellow Submarine" on the radio when I was a kid. God I hate that song.
Funnily enough my Brother in Law was round last night and he's organzing a Beatles v Stones night at the local football club. People vote on which songs they prefer and they play just Beatle and Stones records.

I did think about adding a Monkees vid but though I'd play add this instead, great what a bit of music and editing can do to public service films!
