I went to a Chicago concert at the old Olympia back in the mid seventies. There were three drunk chicks sitting behind my girlfriend and me. Not only did they screech the words to every song, they sang the fucking horn parts. Later one of them puked on my girlfriend's coat. Worst concert I ever went to...

Everybody singing along to Fins at Jimmy Buffet concert is quite a bit different than a few people singing off key at a Sarah McGlachlin concert like in Tony's video.

It is really obvious how obnoxious it is when you see You tube videos from concerts

I payed to see and listen to an artist not some drunk asshole that thinks he can sing. If I want to hear some tone deaf jackass sing along to a song, I can go to karaoke night at the local dive.

I never really pay attention to the drunk guy singing at a concert. It doesn't me, I imagine you notice it a lot more when listening to some fan recorded concert in the crowd. It sticks out then.

I think it also matters what kind of show it is. If it's Sarah McLachlin, then I imagine it's kind of a quiet show. If it's a rock show, you can still usually hear the singers' vocals above all else.
