Thanks for that, I seen Ted when I was a teen. Front 3rd row at Cobo, Derek St. Holmes was there for vocals, I think I was lucky I didn't have ear damage (that I know, ringing for 2 days).
I had the good fortune of seeing them 3 times and got to talk to members of the band twice (mostly Stone & Jeff). Even though I was in his trailer with just him and 2 other people, I didn't really talk to Eddie Vedder. One of the people I was with was a childhood friend of his so I just let them catch up. I did finish a bottle of wine that he'd been drinking on stage and took the cork. I gave the cork to my boss at the time, who was a big PJ fan. In hindsight, I guess I should've taken the bottle for him.
I haven't seen them live in over 15 years so I want to see them again. They are a great band to see live.
That's good fortune alright.
I'm not one of those fans that look up in some kind of way to singers of actors, I just admire their work, and I know Eddie and the gang even don’t like that kind of attention. That's why I wouldn’t mind at all to change a few words with them in between 2 glasses of wine or beer. They seem to be very down earthed people.
I first saw them in 1996, then again in 2004 if I’m not wrong. But they come to Portugal quite often, as they seem to like (Eddie’s words) Portuguese crowd/people and the country. They usually stay a few days when they perform here.
They are coming again next summer to perform in a summer festival.

I wish Ted wasn't such a redneck but I do like quite a few of his old songs.
This really is a great thread......., just wish the Beatles would fuck off though.
