I've come to realize that the money isn't necessarily worth it. So that's a good choice IMO Kay!

Maxx's doggie got two presents from Mrs. Malto.

She loves chew toys and this is what she chose to take to her bed.

Nope. She hates having a camera pointed in her direction.

She has so many memorable picture taking events but, when a camera comes out, she stops what she is doing and is ready to run in the other direction.

She does not like having her picture taken.

Edit: In this picture, Mom was pointing the camera and Pops was telling her it is OK. One of the first times we got her to sit still when a camera was being pointed at her.

Edit again: The picture was taken because she brings her chew toys into her bed and then gently lays on them making sure no one else is going to steal her toy because it is her new best friend.

Thanks Bim! After a great deal of agonizing and soul searching, I decided to stick with the first offer. The compensation was about the same but I decided that the low stress, high flexibility inherent in the first offer was more valuable to me at this point in my life, considering my moms health and my kids schedules. I might end up regretting it a few years down the road, but for now I think it was the right thing for me to do. And the other ladies in the office have had nothing but great things to say about my new boss, so I feel like I made the right choice.

Great! You will never regret having the flexibility to spend more time with family. Here's to happy endings!

I Just Realized Something

It just hit me!
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup, and again during the year, if any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.
I was just thinking about all this and suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks ~
