Reba and I went to my Mom's this morning to help her with a computer issue. So we're in Mom's computer room (also known as The Cat Room) and I tell Reba to "go lay down." I look and Reba picked a cozy cat bed as the perfect place. Beds must be one size fits all...
Loki is doing great, he is SUCH a little sweetie. He is extremely kid friendly - he lets both kids hold him, play with him, or carry him around without any fuss at all. He has a ton of personality, and the best part is...he doesn't really bark, except occasionally when he's being playful and is really fired up. He seems to be a bit of a Mama's boy, and I don't mind at all. :-). And he seems to like the car! Once we get him fully housebroken he will be a great dog. He is making a lot of progress, but we aren't there yet.
It will be interesting to see how things go from here on out, though, as I start a new job tomorrow so he will be in his crate more than he's used to. The good thing is that I work close enough that I can go home for lunch, and then my son gets home at 3:30, so he will have two 3 hour crate shifts a day. Hope it isn't an issue, but so far he has been so adaptable that I think it will be fine. I just love him!

The little shit decided to make me regret my kind words - got me up at 2:00 am and again at 3:45 just to make sure I was half awake for my first day on the job. It's a good thing he's so damn cute...

Thanks Bim! After a great deal of agonizing and soul searching, I decided to stick with the first offer. The compensation was about the same but I decided that the low stress, high flexibility inherent in the first offer was more valuable to me at this point in my life, considering my moms health and my kids schedules. I might end up regretting it a few years down the road, but for now I think it was the right thing for me to do. And the other ladies in the office have had nothing but great things to say about my new boss, so I feel like I made the right choice.
