We have a little dog (I posted a pic awhile back). Right now I'm looking for a half wolf/half huskey. If anyone knows where I can find one - let me know. Thanks

Whenever shit was bad, he was there with that tail wagging that always seemed to knock over my beer. No matter what was going on in my life, he was there with that tail wagging. I'm really gonna miss that. Never had a dog like him.
For the past couple of years, my wife has been taking care of her ailing mother. She moved in with her for convenience sake and comes home a day or two a week depending on her work schedule.
I caved and adopted a pup last July that was supposed to be the youngest sons dog. Well, young people have their own agendas and tend to treat live animals like stuffed animals and only play/tend to them when it suits them, not necessarily when the live animal is in need.
With that said, I have mostly become the primary caregiver of the dog. We are home alone together a lot and we take long walks, play and I am always talking to her.
This morning I was talking to the dog in the living room while my wife was in the kitchen. She came out to see who I was talking to. She looked at me and started giggling and asked me who I was talking to. I replied "The dog."
She laughed at me and said you don't really think she understands you do you? I said "Ya, I do."
She started giggling again. I said "Watch".
I stood up and asked the dog if she wanted to go out. The dog jumped up, grabbed her favorite toy and headed to the back door. She patiently waited for me to get to the back door and my wife stood there in the kitchen watching. I then looked at the dog and said "You can not take that outside (referring to her favorite toy) drop it" She willingly dropped it and we both went outside.
I winked at my wife through the back door and when we came back in I quipped "looks to me like she understands me just fine".
Edit: I have to also add that she (the dog) follows me everywhere I go. If I go to the basement, she is not far behind. She can be snoozing on her bed and if I put on a pair of shoes and head toward the back door, she beats me out the door. She always has to be in the same room and when I am working on something, she will stay close, sniff everything I touch and lay down a couple of feet away waiting for me to finish whatever it is I am doing.
What has really become funny is that until recently, she was afraid of the lawnmower. The last couple of times I mowed the grass, she would follow me around and sniff the freshly cut grass behind me. I still have not figured out why she thinks I need an escort to cut the grass.Last edited by Malto Marko; August 17, 2011, 03:50 PM.I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
