Wow! I had to dig way too deep to find this thread.
Dog news from South Georgia.
I don't know if you all remember that when my son was in Germany we kept his dog, Ace for a couple of months.
As their daughter has hit the toddler stage, she is all over Ace and he has no patience with her and she doesn't know to leave him alone. He is growling at her and they are concerned that he might do more than growl. They have been trying to keep them separated, but they really can't take the chance that he might snap at her.
So (is that legal?) I am driving to Tennessee Wednesday to go pick Ace up and bring him to live with us.
Truthfully, I am not sure how I feel about this. Boone is getting older and he and I have settled into a pretty solid routine. I am walking him off leash and let him run at the beach. Ace is high strung and needy as hell. Boone and Ace got along well when they were together before and Ace is really smart, so I guess with a little effort in training I can get him settled down a bit.
Ace is also only a couple of years old, so this is a ten+ year commitment and I am not getting any younger. **sigh**
But... We had a hard time giving Ace back when my son got back from Germany. So there's that.
