The thing is, internet forums are sort of like their own tribes, or local corner bars (to modernize the analogy). Each has their own set of unofficial rules, customs and behaviors. This one is tighter about posting in the correct thread and not creating too many threads from the previous one I was on in spite of a more combative level of discourse that happens between posters. You come in, you try on the level of discourse and if you don't like it, you move on for the next one.

Messing with spammers can be great sport and it keeps the hounds happy. I'm not trying to give free license to spammers. A moderator can just zap 'em, or I can ignore them. It doesn't matter much to me.
The name is Kevin and I'm a massive Detroit Lions fan from Ireland.
I started following the NFL at the start of last season. My buddy is a Titans fan and we started watching some Sunday Night Football games. I initially followed the Eagles but the more I read about the NFL, the more the Lions caught my eye, this once great team many eons ago that continually sucked for ages but on the road to redemption and, well, I've been a fan since.
I've been lurking around the forum for ages and decided to register, I'd like to start commenting on the threads now, I'm confident I know enough about the game to have discussions.
I'm not sure if I'm the first Irish Lions fan on board, I've never met any in Ireland, most are Patriots, Colts, Green Bay or whichever team was successful when they started following football.
He didn't come back after getting his head handed to him. Is that hard to understand?
Listen guys, from what I read, he was sharing some music he hoped to sell to the Lions organization, or the players. He got slammed, then made an another attempt, mixed it up a little, and left. He wasn't selling you anything, but asked for feedback on is songs. I don't think he fit the traditional spammer signature.

No, Bim. He didn't disappear because he got his head handed to him (rightfully so, I might add). He disappeared because he was a spammer trying to drum up support for his company by spamming ALL of the Lions related boards that he could find. I checked the other boards. He disappeared from them to.
He was only looking to promote his company. He thought if he could drum up some support from the fans on talk forums he might be able to sell his shit to the Lions.
He wasn't another voice. His only voice was "check out my shit and support it so I can make some money".
Spammer.
Maybe not a "traditional" spammer, but spam none-the-less.
