  • Welcome to Hans and the EX.

    Keep on coming in to check in and you will get the best info on the net when it comes to Lions Football.

    I think Gonz calls it TBD.......uh, wait, I think Panoptes calls this the BDLFFOTI, or something close to that.
    I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.

              There can be no question about the loyalty of the fans that have been here for a while. We always welcome fans who understand the frustration of being a Lions fan.

                  I dunno. Wings, Pistons and Tigers have all won championships.

                  Lions?

                  • Tigers? not so much in the last 27 years( or one in the last 42). Pistons? back to an extended run of sad. Wings? Equal amounts of joy and wtf. It is our tradition here. Throw in U-M and the misery is complete

                      No sir. As you can see, the Jets have their green helmets. They haven't had those since '97 so that's the most recent that game could've happened. I'm pretty sure it was a few years earlier. I'll see if there are any other identifiers.

                      That's what I like to do on Sundays!:-D

                      • Ah, 1986!

                        Then again, maybe you were thinking of the College ref that paid homage?

                        [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Dreith"]Ben Dreith - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

                        Dreith is also known among football fans for his unique explanation of a personal foul penalty during a 1986 game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. After the Jets' Marty Lyons (misidentified as Mark Gastineau during Dreith's call) tackled Bills quarterback Jim Kelly to the ground and started to repeatedly punch him in the head, Dreith announced to the crowd: "We have a personal foul on number 99 of the defense — after he tackled the quarterback, he's giving him the business down there, that's a 15-yard penalty." [2]
                        Twenty-one years later, on November 24, 2007, during a game between University of Maryland and North Carolina State University, ACC referee Ron Cherry called a personal foul, saying, "He was giving him the business."

                          Some are tighter than others.

                          Like Chemiclord and CGVT.

                          They're both so tight you can sharpen a pencil in their sphincters.

                              • Hey guys, new to the site. I have been following for months leading up to the draft. Just recently gotten back into being an NFL fan. Sundays are now open for me to watch when they haven't been for years. Love the Lions!!! Wish I could see them more here in Georgia. Love the back and forth on here. Glad to be a part.
