  • On Demand has lots of good movies, especially the classic or older flix such as Godzilla vs _____. Martial arts fans will likewise see some retro stuff there....

    • So I'm watching X-Men First Class and the actor playing the Beast character looks very familiar. He sorta reminds me of the little kid in About a Boy. I looked it up and sure enough, Marcus is all grown up! About a Boy is a great movie. X-Men First Class was good. I only watched it because James McAvoy is in it.

      • Saw Ides of March a couple weekends ago. It was very good. Ryan Gosling is so talented. The way he conveys emotion with just the look on his face. Nice and understated.

        • Think that one was shot in Detroit, Rommy!

Saw Tower Heist yesterday. Disappointed. Not too funny, and Eddie Murphy was not used well.

          • Also saw the Adjustment Bureau. Interesting premise. Reminded me of "City of Angels" in some respects. Didn't care for how tidy the ending was, but was okay.

                  • Yesterday, I went to a movie theatre for the first time in about 6 months. I saw The Descendants. It was very good but had a heavy subject matter. There were still some light moments as well.

                    I recommend seeing it.

                    • I watched "The Help" today. It was an excellent movie. Emma Stone is turning into a really good actress. She was fantastic in Crazy, Stupid Love which was very good as well. Of course that movie was bound to be good with that cast.

                      • I've been putting off watching Moneyball for awhile but took a look at it last night and it was pretty darn good. The cast was excellent. It was shot so well it seemed more like a documentary than a movie.

I also laughed several times since I watched that "MillenBall" clip several months back which was a complete spoof of it.

I recommend it....true story, and they never work out quite like you'd like....but it was kind of an eye opening story about the medical supply industry and the lawyer that tried to take them on.
