  • Yeah the Rock is pretty cool and he's a pretty damn good actor. I generally like his roles quite a bit.

    • I'm a fan but he was pretty lame trying to do color commentary during the football game Thursday. Definitely should stick to acting (or looking hot).

      • I want to see that movie Tangled. As I am a fan of cartoon movies. Or Pixar. As a now 36-year old, kid at heart. Went and saw that Will Ferrell-Brad Pitt movie Megamind. Cute. Not that awesome but just cute enough.

        • Pissing with snow here in Edinburgh yesterday, all snowed in, must be at least 5 feet deep, worst I've seen for feckin eons......, so decided to watch the naked gun trilogy in remembrance of the late great Leslie Neilson......., I even saw the old guy next door struggling to clear his path......., wouldve helped but the film was just too funny!

          • I read that Christopher Nolan will not work on the upcoming Superman film which is very disappointing to me. I really loved what he did with Batman so I was hoping he could do the same with Superman. Oh well.

            • Saw the documentary I'm Still Here about Joaquin Phoenix. I thought it was pretty funny. I don't know if I'd have laughed so much if I didn't know it was a hoax.

                  • Watched Sherlock Holmes the other night. Not half bad as far as mindless entertainment goes, mostly due to Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law appearing to have a blast hamming it up in their roles.

                        • I liked 500 Days of Summer too. And agree with Main on Sherlock. Okay made better by Downey and Law.

I can't wait to see Inception. I hate that Netflix has to wait longer to release certain movies. I've stayed out of the Inception thread and plan to read the whole thing once I've watched the movie.

I think The Rock has a lot of charisma and keeping him as the "strong, silent" type isn't really using him properly. That said, he was pretty intimidating in the role.

I hope he gets more movies. I wish the Spy Hunter movie would have panned out. That sounded like a good idea.
Went to see Faster last night and man you were right. The Rock barely said anything at all the whole movie. It was worth a watch but there was a part near the end that I couldnt help but laugh at being so we tard ed...

Spoiler The part where the Rock got shot point blank in the back of the head but the steel plate stopped the bullet.. Come on..

Hot Tub Time Machine seemed like it was written in 20 minutes over a beer and a joint.

I watched it while visiting my Dad and was really embarrassed. Especially when they went on an f-word rampage for about 10 minutes. I don't mind the f-word at all (as most here know), but it was overdone and needless.

Also thought the acting was really, really, ridiculously bad. Cusack in particular.
Finally watched Hot Tub Time Machine.. I loved the cast but it was just awful. I've liked just about everything Cusack has been in but you're right Deb, even his performance was bad. And how weird was the Chevy Chase character?
