"Machete" ... I hated it!
Don't understand how it is getting good reviews...
I thought it was suppose to be like "The Expendables", but it was MUCH WORSE!
Not because of the story (because I would obviously hate its political messege) .. but how it all came together.
Horrible writing + directing. Basically the exact oppisite of "Inception."
& Lindsay Lohan is not even close to being hot/ good looking!

Just because you thought a movie was supposed to be like another movie, doesn't make it worse. I don't know what your expectations were for this movie, but evidently they were way off base. I saw The Expendables also, and I thought this movie was much better than that. All the Expendables really had going for it was a bunch of big names in the cast. First of all, this isn't the kind of movie that's intended to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Robert Rodriguez doesn't do those kind of movies. He's the man who directed Sin City, From Dusk til Dawn, the Planet Terror part of Grindhouse, and Desperado. If you're going to compare every movie you see this year to Inception, you're going to be routinely disappointed. That's probably why its got such good reviews, some people aren't so close-minded when they go in to see a movie.
The only thing I agree with you on is Lindsay Lohan isn't that hot, although her body double in the pool scene was. However, maybe you didn't notice the other beautiful women in the movie. For example...
Michelle Rodriguez:
Oh yeah, and then there's this woman, Jessica Alba, you may have heard of her before...
That's just the two main female stars of the movie, and hell, Lindsay Lohan's hardly in the movie, but whatever dude.Lions free since 6/23/2020Comment

The girls were by far the best part of "Machete"
Jessica Alba, that girl during the 1st 5 minutes of the movie ...
AND there were of course some good action scenes.
I thought the 1st half of the movie was actually OK.
But The last 20 minutes of the movie ruined it.
Robert Rodriguez also did that in "Dusk til Dawn."

Are you kidding me? You didn't like the second half of From Dusk til Dawn? Obviously we have differing opinions on movies. My reaction watching From Dusk til Dawn the first time was "This is pretty cool, Richie's a sick bastard though" during the first part of the movie to "Wow this is fucking crazy!" the second part. It was like two different movies the way it changed gears so abruptly. I always like movies that catch me off guard and take me on another wild ride. I also like movies that have some crazy asskicking fights.
As for the last 20 minutes of Machete, how else could it have ended but to have a big huge battle? What would you have done to make it different if you were the director?Lions free since 6/23/2020Comment

I remember that second half of 'From Dusk til Dawn' like WTF? Married at the time my e-wife I'll never forget saying he's just dreaming! Still like that movie, plus the guy in the party store.Comment
