I thought it was horrible SLF. Mortensen was good and so was the guy from oceans 12 and 13. I just thought it was very slow moving and quite boring, just my opinion though.

I just may not have been in the modd to watch it which tends to happen sometimes, but compared to say The Departed I thought Eastern Promises was lacking the same sort of excitment. Like I said the acting was good it was just a slow moving storyline for me personaly. I felt the same way about the other movie Cronenberg and Mortensen did together A History of Violence, it just wasn't very good to me I don't know why.

It did move a little slow but I liked it.
The shower scene was something else. I wasn't expecting the full monty. I give him a lot of credit for having the balls (lol) to do a scene like that.F#*K OHIO!!!

Well, I watched the highly anticipated (by me) Across the Universe. It was definitely a unique movie watching experience. Very creative. I liked the story and the music and the visuals. I wasn't wowed by it though. I knew Beatles music played a large role in the movie but I honestly didn't realize the movie was a musical which I don't generally like. It was fun trying to catch all the Beatles references, subtle and overt. I'm sure I missed a bunch. Their Sadie was indeed sexy and according to imdb, it was her first acting role."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

Watched the '3:10 to Yuma' remake last night. I liked it but it I felt like someting was missing, though I can't really put my finger on what. Russell Crowe and Ben Foster were really good as the baddies, and Christian Bale had a nice understated performance, and Peter Fonda had a nice bit part. I need to rewatch it when I'm less tired though.

I would be curious to hear what everybody else thinks about it if they see it, but I highly recommend it.

And that's saying something for you.
So, what did everybody think about the Academy Awards? I thought Michael Clayton was the best movie of the 5 nominated, but it was pretty clear the No Country had all the momentum leading up to the night. I also thought Tom Wilkinson should have won for Best Supporting, but Javier Bardem was awesome as well so that's a tough one to argue. Honestly, I didn't see enough of the female roles, lead or supporting to make a judgment there.
It was good to see The Bourne Ultimatum clean up in the technical awards.
