I thought it was good but some asshole posted a spoiler in the comment section of a Detroit site. It gave away the ending like a true asshole.

I don't get the whole fasination with the John Wick series. The 1st one was unwatchable its so far fetched with the endless amount of bullets and the dude is still standing.

Interesting. The first time I watched John Wick was in a hotel room and I kind of watched it in the background. Thought is was kinda ok, but kinda silly. Then I watched it again on a proper screen/sound system and was fully immersed - and I loved it. The only disbelief I wasn't able to suspend the second time around was how he always managed to get into close quarters for hand-to-hand even though everyone has guns. Other than that, I thought he was refreshingly vulnerable for a supposedly unstoppable killing machine. He got his ass kicked at the dance club, was knifed, struggled to defeat a female assassin, and was saved multiple times by his sniper friend. Even if you can't suspend disbelief, just watch to appreciate the action/combat sequences. They are top notch. Pay special attention to the cuts ... or lack of them really. That, plus all the subtle subworld building is why I was ultimately fascinated by John Wick.

Its not a perfect movie by any means, so I can understand why some wouldn't like it.

The club scene where he doesn't have a gun is the one that I was referring to. I'll give it a watch again and see if it clicks. Its highly rated on IMDB.

They are hilarious -- that is what I mean.

Most of the criticism seems to be about how insanely violent it is. Not necessarily digs at plot/character etc.

Also, I hate how Hellboy came out and there was this outcry for Ron Perlman. Those Hellboys fucking sucked.

Yes. And that is a great list demonstrating there are still interesting stories to be told and movies to be made that aren't based on superheros. Please support these movies and bring balance back to the big screen.
