what did you think of the last Tron?

It's been a while since I saw it (5-6 years?), but apparently I thought it was good... giving it a 7/10 on IMDB.
From what I remember, it was visually great, entertaining, and had Olivia Wilde. Omg... Olivia Wilde in that film....
Never saw the original "Tron" (1980s) though.

A lot of the remakes/ sequels have been terrible in the last couple of years.
"Point Break" ... "Fantastic 4" ... "Total Recall."
Not to forget the bad sequels too.

One remake that was great: "3:10 to Yuma" with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Great movie.
The Planet of the Apes movies (not the 2001 Tim Burton film) have been good too, though IDK if anything can beat the original.

Olivia Wilde was pretty spectacular in Tron. I'm going to have to re-watch it now

I saw "Ex Machina" recently and loved it. Probably one of my favorite movies of the year along with "Inside/Out", "The Force Awakens", "Mad Max: Fury Road", and "Steve Jobs."
It's like "District 9"... Low budget, first time director, Sci Fi... Great movie.
Idk how flat, but good "Bridge of Spies" recieved a best picture nomination over "Ex Machina." Well, actually the answer is: Really old voters.

Random bit of info, apparently they are filming for "Wonder Woman" in the next village along from me this week. Residents have been warned that they will hear explosions etc. They are filming on the old USAF base at Upper Heyford

Went and watched Deadpool today. Had to step out about 3 quarters of the way through. I like the chance they took with this one.

I was a big fan of it. Not only for the how much of a leap of faith it was (though Fox was very frugal with it) and how well it respected the character.

Watched Whiplash for the second time last night. Damn that's just as good the second time around.

Batman vs Superman was pretty good as expected. As much as I don't like the idea of Affleck as Batman he did an alright job.

The movie was far from perfect. It was real slow in spots and there was some dialogue fails but the last half of the movie was pretty friggin good. Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor stole the show and was pretty awesome.

Will see it probably this weekend.
I was excited about it until the reviews came out. I think I even made a thread saying how good this movie will be based on the first trailer.
Whoever made the "Man of Steel" and "Batman vs Superman" trailers is REALLY good.

Man of Steel was pretty underwhelming, and even before all the bad reviews I thought BvS looked like a loud, dark, noisy, overstuffed slog that I had no intention of going to see. Based on reviews it sounds like it's even worse than that. I'll wait for it to hit cable.
