I can't bring myself to ever watch it. I taught myself how to surf by watching that movie. No f'ing way I give Hollywood a dime for this horse shit.

Was that Ray Winstone with a very dodgy American accent? Fk sake that was terrible."...when Hibernian won the Scottish Cup final and that celebration, Sunshine on Leith? I don’t think there’s a better football celebration ever in the game.”

It had Bob Hoskins as Mario and I think the guy that played Luigi is famous.
I loved the movie as a kid... It actually was scary based on the settings, costumes, and characters.
But yea, when I saw it a few years ago... Not that good.
If anyone has Netflix, you should watch "Kung Fury." It will make you say "WTF was this." It makes fun of 80s movies in a way... and only 30 minutes so it can't be that much of a waste if you don't like it.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Pretty awesome. The screenplay has so many good "one liners."
I think it's obviously overly sarcastic in a way that it makes fun of itself / 80s movies.Last edited by Cody_Russell; October 31, 2015, 12:08 PM.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

I saw "Spectre" today.
Yea, the pace is a little slow, but I thought it was good (7/10).
The cinematography and acting were excellent, led by the great director Sam Mendes.
Average narrative... basically everything you'd expect from a Bond movie.
Overall a good ending to Daniel Craig's Bond movies. "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall" are better. I thought it was funny they ignored "Quantum of Solace", the forgettable Craig/ Bond movie, even though they made several references to the prior Craig/ Bond movies.
Again, good movie. Could have been so much more with a stronger narrative, faster pace, and maybe 15-20 minutes less run time?
I'm wondering how much Columbia Pictures interfered with the script.... almost as if Mendes had to tie everything together in this film from "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace." Whereas with "Skyfall", it was not interconnected with the other Bond movies.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

I love that movie. How in the world they ever f'ed up the second one when they took a decade to make it is beyond me. It's not like they didn't have the time to come up with good material and the whole cast are seasoned comedy stars now.
