  • I saw Middle Men with Luke Wilson, James Caan, and Giovanni Ribisi. It's not that bad.

    • Just saw "Rango" today. It is an outstanding film. Word of warning though - it is not a PG movie that just missed a G rating. It is a PG movie pushing PG-13. My two boys both loved it (they are 6 and 10) but it really wasn't appropriate for the 6 year old. I knew we weren't in Pixar anymore Dorothy within 5 minutes - when the hero spoke to an armidillo which was run over on the road and nearly cut in half.

It has many references to other films. I think movie buffs will love it just to catch the references.

      • Saw The Social Network last night. A very good film and intriguing story. I was riveted the whole time.

When Trent Reznor accepted the Oscar for Best Original Score, was anyone else thinking, "hey, that's guy who sang 'I want to **** you like an animal'"?

                  • That's pretty hilarious, "Exotic Birds".

Reznor kicked a pretty bad drug habit about a decade ago then got into physical fitness and weightlifting and went from skinny to pretty beefy over the course of a couple of years, to the point where he looked like a caricature of himself, like a puffed up Henry Rollns. He's slimmed back down in recent years though.

                          • Saw Secretariat and was disappointed. With the subject matter of the greatest racehorse of all time, it should have been a great film. Instead it lacked depth - not only the story but the characters. And to cast such a mediocre actress as Diane Lane as the lead just added to the injustice.

I did like learning a bit of the history though. I didn't know he won the Belmont Stakes by such a huge margin.
