  • For my money, IB was a caricature of Quentin Tarantino movies. Everything was a little too much unexplained violence, and a little too little character development. A little too quirk, and a little too little story.

For example, why on earth did the Nazi hunter decide to cooperate out of the blue? Completely unexplained.

    • But it might have been due to all the subtitles, which were moving very quickly.
Yes they were, you almost have to watch this movie over again, I have watched it 3 times now to see the charterers along with the subtitles.

That definitely played a part. The separate "books" just didn't seem to mesh well together. And Aldo and the Jew Hunter both just seemed to go completely stupid in the last act.

        • Robert De Niro in 'Everybodys Fine'

This movie is about how a man decides not to accept the brush-off of all his grown children, this time going to visit all his own children in different city's. As a result makes some interesting discoveries. This movie contains Robert De Niro's strongest role in years. The entire story revolves around his character and he really brings the character to life.

However it was the saddest movie I have seen in a while, I guess he reminded me of my Father who recently passed away. Good movie, but you might end up wiping your eyes a lot, especially if you have lost a parent recently.

          • De Niro was great in Everybodys Fine! I didnt know anything about it and by the cast I thought it was a comedy. I quickly found out it wasnt.

You can't say enough about how genuine his performance was and they wrapped the movie up very well which promptly made me call my Dad to say hello.

                      • I watched Iron Man 2 today. It dragged in the middle and I ended up dozing off for about 10 minutes.

                              • Edge of Darkness:

Mel Gibson hasn't been in an action movie in a long time I definitely wanted to watch it, so I did. I saw a slow, dark movie with an aging Gibson very low on energy and very overact. Edge of Darkness is a typical revenge movie that starts out pretty good then is just OK, a least it wasn't too over the top like last years not stop revenge movie hero Liam Neeson in 'Taken'.

The story isn't interesting to watch, in fact after a while it turns a little boring and the plot have some flaws. It was good to see Mel Gibson again on screen, but think his performance was little exaggerated, the Boston accent I could have done without, but hey that's where the movie takes place.
