I loved the Great Debaters. You know I love me some based on a true story triumph of the human spirit stories.
When Samantha delivered the line (could be paraphrasing here): "the time for justice and equality is always, always, right now" <with fist in hand>, I was all choked up.
"And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

I saw an early review of The Dark Knight on Ebert and Roeper and it was getting all kinds of high praise. Roeper was saying that it should get Best Picture consideration and that it will be a complete upset if Ledger isn't nominated (and he said this had nothing to do with Ledger's premature death).
I was thinking it looked that good but that's pretty high praise coming from critics. Nice!!

Roeper was really excited about this movie. I don't really care for comic book hero movies, but this one looks like it might be ok.
ok is the understatement of the year on this one. this movie looks awesome.

Maybe, ... I just can't get excited about a comic book movie (never have). Some are saying it is fantastic and have already seen it 2 times, others have said its '"ok". I do think I will like it, though im not into action movies and special effects much. Seems like thats what people like most about this movie, Terminator 2 was about the only one I really liked.

Not much, it has been a long time but, I think Reeves playes 2 people in one, a regular guy who is just working it in today's society. The other is Neo, a computer hacker who meets Laurence Fishburne.... who tells Reeves we are living in a world called the Matrix. This uses out brain energy or something to turn us into batteries with biblical analogies? A bit too secular-minded for me, was this Star Wars (that I never seen or will) on acid or what? I did like some of the special effects - was the only thing i liked about it. I could give it another chance.
Wooooooooooo... Wait a second L-kxng, are you serious about never seeing Star Wars?

Never could get into it, my nephew is a total Star Wars geek and has tried to get me to watch (I think the 3rd one he brought over on DVD). Same with The Lords of the Rings, I could never get into them - im sure you must like that series? And I really like Viggo Mortensen as well as Keanu Reeves. I do love the original Star Trek and The Next Generation.
