  • I saw The Hurricane for the first time. Wow, heck of a story. Injustice gets me all riled up.

        • Did anyone see Cloverfield? I think it's from the makers of LOST. My 17-year-old cousin saw it and he said he loved it.

It was decent. Don Cheadle was great as always. Sandler was pretty good too. He really showed he can do more then comedy.

I saw it over the weekend Tom; I was blown away by it. I have been riding the hype train on it since the first trailer came out something like 6 months ago and it does not disappoint. I have read some reviews and have heard some on TV as well, and it seems to be a hit or miss with people. I would be curious to hear what everybody else thinks about it if they see it, but I highly recommend it.

                • AMC Theaters is offering a 1 day Best Picture movie showcase, where you can pay $30 and watch all 5 of the nominess for Best Picture. It makes for a looooong day, but for someone like me who hasn't been able to get to the theater as much as I normally do, it's a great way to catch up. Plus, bottomless popcorn!

                  • bottomless popcorn sounds delicious.

I saw there will be blood last night. I thought it was very good but not as good as No country. The story was very slow. It was a good story, but it was told pretty slowly.

                      • Atonement is the middle show, so I think I might skip that to go get lunch. I'm much more interested in seeing the other 4 flicks.

                        • I saw Rambo tonight. It was good, very bloody, very violent, but still very good. Definately not a date movie. This movie was more in the spirit of First Blood than either of the previous 2 sequels. I didn't think Stallone looked really old in this part, I thought that he looked about the appropriate age, but damn did he kick some ass!

Here's a brief synopsis: (Spoilers below)

Basically the premise of the movie is these missionaries hire Rambo to take them into Burma on his boat so they can bring medicine and supplies to the villagers, despite the awful civil war going on. The Army goes in, blows the village to smithereens, killing a bunch of people and takes 4 of the missionaries hostage, one of them being a woman. The pastor of the church hires some mercanaries to go in there to rescue them, and Rambo takes them up there, where he starts kicking ass and taking names.

                            • In Eastern Promises, Viggo Mortensen does an entire fight scene while nude. I missed a lot of the action for trying to catch a glimpse of his package.

It was a great fight scene too. That was a great movie IMO.
