    • ROMSTER,

      How did you like TRANSFORMERS?

It was the first movie my wife and I have attended at the theater in a long, long time.

I was wrapped up in it.

I can't believe how far CGI has come. I was almost unable to decipher between CGI and reality in that movie.

I will be buying this one on Blue Ray some day for my archives.

        • I just saw Transformers last night G and was blown away. The special effects were P H E N O M E N A L. I mean WOW.

Two good movies I've seen recently.... The Heart of the Game, an inspiring documentary about a girls high school basketball team in Seattle. The movie was shot over 7 years and highlighted a particularly talented young woman who ran into difficulties due to getting pregnant at 18. She was ultimately able to go back to school and finish her education and play a 4th year of ball (and win the state championship). Before having her baby she had tons of colleges courting her with possible scholarships. But after being gone one year and having a baby, despite dominating again in her senior year of HS and helping the team to win the state championship, she had not one scholarship offer.

Also saw Black Snake Moan which I totally dug.

                    • I just saw Talk to Me with Don Cheadle. Great. No, really, really great. I'd offer a money back guarantee on that one. There's nothing not to love about it.

And the soundtrack doesn't suck either.

                        • re: Transformers - would it be appropriate for a 7 year old? My little man keeps asking me to take him, but I'm not so sure..........

                          • Mmmmmm.. It's kind of a long movie and there's some violence but I didn't think it was that bad. There were a lot of little people there.

                            • I had someone ask me if they thought it would be okay if the took their 8 year old and I said no because it was kinda violent as far as fight scenes but I don't recall much blood (heh, machines don't bleed) and I saw other kids around that age there. And I'm out of touch with what youngins can handle.

Saw Zodiac last weekend. I thought it was very good. Very interesting.
