No doubt a very good biopic of the man and his fans will love it.

I’ve tried Dylan maybe every couple years since my early 30s. Always thinking that one day his stuff will “click”. But nothing as yet. Maybe it’s a maturity thing? Immature bastard that doesn’t “get” the deep stuff. Two Dylan songs in a row and I’m hiring an Uber for a one way trip to the Forth Road Bridge.

For many people, the best way to appreciate Dylan’s songwriting is to listen to his songs performed by other artists, such as “Mr. Tambourine Man” by the Byrds or “All Along the Watchtower” by Hendrix.

I do enjoy “Tangled Up in Blue” as sung by Dylan quite a bit.

Back in the early years of this forum there were some big Dylan fans in here. I would offer my opinion that he was too wordy and that would elicit a response.

The thing about this movie that differs from most biopics is they lean heavily into the songs. It is helped because he spent a few years playing guitar and singing Dylan songs. Most of these type of movies kind of falter at the performance part of the songs And the songs of this period are the songs that everyone who has ever listened to a radio knows.

Boyd Holbrook is just chewing scenery as Johnny Cash. In his limited time on screen he is on a heat check. I was saying, "man that guy looks familiar."

HAS to be good… Sky high expectations.

- 28 Days Later, my favorite horror movie my entire adult life.
- Cillian Murphy coming off of Oppenheimer and Peaky Blinders
- Danny Boyle returning to direct. The award winning director of Slumdog Millionaire.
- Strong cast.

Has anyone watched The Whale yet?

Re-watched ‘The Whale’ after seeing it’s on Netflix and think it holds as a quality movie. Traumatized and disgusted feeling, but you feel for the characters.

Now that I’m open to re-watching movies that I said a re-watch would never happen for … ‘Gone Girl’ is up next. It’s been a decade. I only remember how it was great and being shell shocked on the car ride home from the theater.

Do you mean Marvel after Endgame? Iron Man 1 through to Endgame was some fantastic cinema entertainment, IMO. I mean, you're welcome to disagree, I'm just curious if that was what you were thinking.

I can agree with that -- but think that it paled compared to the sequence leading to Endgame

Basically, Favreau has been incredible.

Speaking of which, I watched Chef a couple days ago. It was really enjoyable and well done. It's a feel-good movie about a father bonding with his son. Kinda funny how there were so many big-time actors playing smaller roles because of Favreau.
