Gets better

The map to series always starts out with mystery, intrigue or cool shit. Then the curtain gets pulled back and its all just neatly wrapped up. Terminal List wasn't good to start (IMO) but has progressively gotten better and better. I just finished episode 7 and its legit impossible not starting the 8th.

I had the tv on last weekend while I did some clean up, furniture waxing, wall cleaning, etc.. And WANTED was on. I did not realize that James McAvoy's gf cheats on him with Chris Pratt. Didn't realize that that was Pratt.

Don’t know if anyone has been following the recent Batgirl news….but Warner has apparently decided the movie is so bad that they won’t release it (like Fiona Apple’s 2nd album).

They released Dare Devil and GI Joe.. So the answer is really really bad.

If it wasn’t for Cena it wouldn’t be watchable…and Margo Robbie, because she was born to play HQ.

It wasn't meant to be released in the theater was the biggest problem, it was a streaming movie for HBO Max and Discovery is shit canning the previous model of releasing movies straight to HBO Max. You can see it in the 90 million price tag, the movie was largely done. If you want to release it in the theaters, you have to go back and possibly beef it up which costs money, estimate maybe an additional $30 million. Also when you are releasing it in the theaters, the rule of thumb is to estimate the promotional budget is roughly the same as budget if the movie. In this case $90 million. So you are looking at maybe spending an additional 120 million on a movie suited for TV and the tax write-off is worth more.

Most of these companies have over promised their shareholders on what streaming was going to be and this is some of the fallout. Spending 90 million on a movie to stream seems unwise on the cost benefit analysis.

$90M is on the high-end for a cancelled project, but it’s not out of the norm.

Don’t forget HBO filmed an expensive Game of Thrones prequel. They canceled that a few years ago.

I actually watched that a few weeks ago because it popped up on Netflix’s recommendations. First time watching that movie in a decade. Very campy, old school, and over the top action movie. Yet, enjoyable.

Speaking of action movies. The Hulu movie “Prey” is getting some buzz. Apparently a worthy sequel to The Predator franchise. I want to check that out.
“Predators” with Adrien Brody is a worthy sequel IMHO. Nothing as good as the original movie though.

I heard about that movie being shot out here. They definitely picked a really pretty spot for it. Honestly Idris Elba is one of my favorite actors but that one looks like a terrible Jaws jump movie. I hope it has more teeth than that

I agree that Mr. Elba is a top-notch actor, but his choice of movie roles leaves a lot to be desired.
