Treasure piled high for the ``Pirates of the Caribbean'' sequel this weekend, making it the most profitable opener in movie history. ``Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest'' -- starring Johnny Depp -- startled the industry by taking in a record $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates Sunday. That crushed the previous record of $114.8 million set by ``Spider-Man'' in 2002. Even factoring in higher admission prices since 2002, ``Dead Man's Chest'' still set a record of just under 20 million tickets sold, about 200,000 more than ``Spider-Man.''

Man, just as Vince on "Entourage" had beaten Spiderman's record, too... ;)
I never saw the first one. My friend could not wait for the second and saw it on Friday. She said somethings were over the top but that it was good overall.#birdsarentreal

What?! You never saw the first one? I think you'd like it. Depp was very entertaining.
Upon a recommendation, I checked out the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill which is a documentary about a flock of cherry-headed conures hanging out in the Telegraph Hill area of San Francisco and Mark Bittner who befriended them and fed them. It was quite interesting and well made. Very enjoyable. San Francisco is such a beautiful city."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

Thumbs down to "Superman Returns", although it has its moments. Bryan Singer should've focused on a better conclusion to the X-Men trilogy instead."We like to work for everything. That's what people in Michigan do."

Saw MV on Friday, and it's really intense. It was all shot on hi-def video, so it looks a lot like Collateral.
We were surprised by the number of parents who brought young kids to this movie. It goes way beyond the TV show in terms of violence, language, nudity, etc."We like to work for everything. That's what people in Michigan do."

Saw Dead Man's Chest over the weekend. It was entertaining, but it felt overstuffed and busy at times, just too many crazy sequences. And they seemed to repeat every original gag/bit from the first one, sometimes more than once. I hope they come up with some new material in the 3rd one.
