  • My husband and I saw Bohemian Rhapsody a couple weeks ago. We both enjoyed it, although we were not over the top about it like many of my friends seem to be ("OMG IT WAS INCREDIBLE" they've been saying). The casting is ridiculously SPOT ON. Not just with Freddie, but the entire band. The story glosses over some things that might have been interesting to explore a bit further and dwells on others, which made it feel like it was a little long. Other than that, it's a must see. And we can't stop playing Queen on our Amazon Echo ever since...

I really need to see it. Ironically, I remember my wife annoying me (mostly on purpose) by referring to the song "Bohemian Rapsody" as "that song from Wayne's World". Now this generation will know it as "that song from Bohemian Rhapsody".

          • You have to take account that it not factual, just like The Doors movie. Rami Said Malek doesn't look at all like Freddy? Though Val Kilmer was spectator as Morrsion and didn't look (that much) like him either, but had his mannerism down pat.

            • I thought it was cool that they had Mike Myers in the film. He had such a big part in bringing them back with Wayne's World he deserved a spot in the movie. I didn't realize that Myers was the one that lobbied for Bohemian Rhapsody as the song they played in the car during Wayne's World and that producers said it didn't fit the movie. Supposedly he threatened to walk off the movie if they didn't cave in.

I'm glad they did. That was an epic scene.

                • I thought the first Transformers was awesome. Shia LeBouf was really good and Megan Fox underneath the hood of the car was one of the baddest scenes ever. All subsequent movies were just really bad. I've heard good things about this one so I'll check it out.

I was actually going to watch it today but instead went to see Aquaman. It was rated higher on IMDB so I went with it and I was disappointed. They should have made it a darker theme to it and 2 hours and 20 minutes is stupid. I don't understand how all of these movies are more than 2 hours long.

It was a fun romp of a movie but a little bit goofy at times.

                      • All the buzz about Bird Box made me sign up for Netflix again. We watched it over the holiday weekend and enjoyed it. Sandra Bullock is excellent.

                        SPOILER
I thought the ending was way too convenient and disappointing. Also, some things that happened didn't really make sense to me. Like: Why did Lucy and Felix steal the car and leave the safe house? It seemed odd that they didn't show what happened to them, but maybe I missed something there. (I did cover my eyes a few times lol)

SPOILER I just took them leaving as young lovers thinking they'd be better off on their own and ditching everyone else. For me, I'm glad they didn't show what happened to them .. they were boring characters.

SPOILERTrue, it was just odd that they had them leave without an explanation. They could have just as easily stayed. Seemed like a loose thread they lost sight (ha!) of.
