Would love to see "Moneyball" though I am kind of tired of hearing about Brad Pitt a lot!

If they change directors (and its not Christopher Nolan, Peter Jackson, Matthew Vaughn, or Stephen Spielburg), then I HOPE they don't make a sequel,
... or atleast the movie plot better be good, better than the difference between the 1968 "Planet of the Apes" and its sequel "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" lmao
Sorry I get sidtracked easily but speaking of the Mark Wahlberg version Estella Warren is one of the best looking actresses on the planet and why don't we see her in more movies? I know it's a tribute to Charleston Heston's romantic scene with the gorilla but I never undesrstood why he didn't make out with her instead.Last edited by In_The_Back; January 26, 2012, 03:53 AM.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ud6flPnPLA

I saw Moneyball recently too but didn't get to see G and his wife. It was a very good movie though. Also recently seen:
50/50 - really liked it. It had a real/human feeling to it which is a bit rare in mainstream movies.
Zeitgeist - documentary about consipiracy theories involving Christianity, 9/11, and the Central Bank. I'm sure it was probably rife with inaccuracies but it was compelling anyway.
We Bought a Zoo - another good one. More serious than I thought it would be but not cheesy. Cameron Crowe is so good with the use of music in his movies. One part really got to me because they had to decide whether or not to put an old tiger to sleep and having just had to make the same decision for my cat about a month ago it tore me up. And I loathe crying in public. Thank goodness I had a tissue in my pocket. Oh, and Matt Damon is aging nicely."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

That might have something to do with the way it was shot. I didn't think it felt like a documentary like jaadam but I could see where he was coming from. It wasn't hollywoodized really. I thought Pitt's performance was weak. He's hit or miss for me as an actor.
Saw George Clooney on Inside the Actor's Studio the other night. They haven't had a new episode in a long time. He's so darn likable."And I'm a million different people from one day to the next..."

I loved Tree of Life. Every once in a while you need to sit down and watch an existentialist piece and think about the meaning of life without being drunk or high. Performances were okay but the cinematography was amazing.
My interpretation is the movie is exactly what a person would see if their life was flashing before their eyes- the longing, the subconscious that manifests itself in nature and symbolism, the spectrum of emotion, the happiness and disappointment- I thought it was beautiful.
If you could simply put a person's memories and consciousness into a movie unprefaced that's as good a rendition as I've seen.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ud6flPnPLA

Who had the memory of the kindly dinosaur? It was utterly self indulgent crap!
I'm not really that fired up, but it felt like a movie made not to communicate but to show everyone how smart the person making/watching/acting/etc is.To be a professional means that you don't die. - Takeru "the Tsunami" Kobayashi
