My wife cycles everywhere, and it's quite scary knowing that there are arseholes like this guy out there. He will go nuts at the wrong person one day.

Was sitting in traffic one day, Dean....., across the other side of the road a car stopped to let her kids out for school. I'm assuming she stopped a bit too quickly as a cyclist rammed into the back of her car. Was very funny as a spectator! But both driver and cyclist were blaming each other.

I did something similar when I had a paper round, I was looking down in my bag for the next paper to grab, so I could be ready to jump off my bike and deliver. It was a bit slower thhough.

The roads around here were built for cars and buses. They do not bode well for cyclists or runners.
Last week, the issue of sharing the road with cyclists came up on the Ticket. A female listener called in to espouse her opinion which was, cyclists should have the right of way at all times and vehicles should always have to yield to a cyclist, especially on one lane highways.
She got lamblasted for her one sided POV but it did bring about a discussion about better engineering of roads.
I long for a Lions team that is consistently competitive.
