  • Butler is going to be a good enough job for Stevens, they will be welded into the new Basketball only "Big East". Georgetown,Nova,St Johns,Seton Hall,Depaul,Marquette,Xavier,BUTLER and a few others. That will be, in basketball anyway, a Major Conference.
The Lions went 11-5 in 2014

    • It seems like Stevens is in the Mark Few mold. He's happy being the man where he's at.

I think these look pretty good. I just don't like changing them so often. I'd be fine if these were the new road unis.

          • Solid uni. Much better than the alternates from this year.

            • Stupid. They look like Georgia tech jerseys with an M on them.

                Can ANYONE?

Because, probably, no one really gives a shit besides the (some)fans. The player actually probably really like them. I can't wrap my head around why it's such an issue for all the old school M fans.

Yep. Every little bit counts when making your school more attractive to recruits too. Kids are influenced by all kinds of superficial things and since you can't pay kids you got to do all the little things like this to help sell your school and program.

                        • Which is precisely why Alabama, USC, and Texas have such a hard time recruiting.

I defy you to find a team, outside Oregon, who has changed their uniforms so much in te past two years.

130 years with two uniforms. 2 years with 7 uniforms.

                            • You're saying other schools are not playing with uniforms as much as UofM?

Maryland and all the Nike schools have at least one new uniform a year and usually more.

It's common practice now and it seems to work in appealing to kids and even selling merchandise in some cases.

They've changed their unis a few times over the last 130 years but not as often as since Pizza Boy has taken over.

As for the 2nd part, Notre Dame has also done it quite a bit and the ohio has worn alternate jerseys in 4 of the last 5 Michigan games, I believe. Nebraska and Wisconsin wore alternate jerseys for their first match-up. Boise State, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, Texas A & M, spartie, and several other schools have worn alternate jerseys in the last year or two. I think Texas did as well.

I don't really like it but Michigan isn't alone in this trend.
