  • He was pushed .. it did change his direction .. I've never argued the point. By the letter of the law perhaps it was the wrong call. It's also against the rules to 'flop' ... but all punters do it.

My contention will always be that unless is was a legit clear call the ref should have swallowed the whistle. And in my opinion ... it wasn't worthy of a penalty .. .but then again I'm a Green fan so it's hard to be un biased.

What I will say ... and it wouldn't matter whose side of the fence you are on ... is there is NO WAY that Lewis "kept on coming after he got pushed". He took one step after contact.

    • It was the right call from my view. I thought so that night and I just watched it a few times again tonight.

Stupid play. The ref had to make the call.

This cannot be serious. The dude was reaching with every ounce to get his toes in. If he tucks the ball he doesn't get the toe in.

Besides the ref clearly ruled that his foot didn't get in.

          • I've never seen a player try to be in bounds more than on that play. Even though it wasn't enough, that toe tap was incredible.

            • I'm dead serious. He caught the ball with two hands and then shifted it to one hand. Why?

Moving the ball to his right hand an waving it around did not give him any more stretch and even if it did, he had time to tuck it before he hit the ground.

It was a hotdog move that fucked up an unbelievable play and cost his team as much as the guy that ran into the kicker.

The ref ruled that he dropped the ball, not that he wasn't in bounds.

              • I'm going against CGVT here. Nothing hotdog about it IMO. He did a full body stretch and used every bit of leverage possible (arms out) to just get that toe to be nearly in.

                  • Urban Meyer stole one of Sparty's stop 2 recruits... which would ultimately be bad news for UofM since OSU is the greater rival right?

                    • And it was a recruit that Michigan passed on. So, yes, it could bite them in the ass now that he's gone to the enemy.

                      • After some fairly tough games, Michigan takes on Arkansas Pine-Bluff tonight at Crisler.

I am hoping this game is a rout, as I'd like to see Carlton Brundidge get some more court time. He was rated higher than Trey Burke coming out of High School. I thought Burke looked like the better player (so far that's held up in a big way) but I'd like to see what CB can do and we are quite thin as far as PG's go. Burke is playing a ton of minutes, with both Stu and walk-on Eso Akune backing him up.

If we can give Brundidge some court time and confidence in the next 3 (seemingly easy) contests, that would be nice insurance come B1G time.

As for our other Freshman scholarship player, Max Bielfeldt, I am guessing he is heading towards a redshirt. He has yet to play.

                              • Right or wrong Mass that was the rumor. Another rumor had him committing but the staff told him no.

The staff got commitments from enough de's. I thought there was a question about his grades too. The wisdom of that decision will become clear I would guess.
