That's a flawed premise borne completely out of the Sparty chip.
I don't think you're reading the argument correctly. The Spartans are much better than Michigan, but Boise State, TCU and Kansas State deserve the bid to the Sugar Bowl more than MSU does. One of those teams gets to go to the Maaco Bowl.

As long as you support bids like the one Michigan and Alabama got, then you support the BCS. Its good to be you, acknowledge the obvious. I'm not so sure what is wrong with aknowledging it.

Your claim that somehow fans can cause the system to change is laughable. Fan polls have shown for over a decade that fans overwhelmingly want a playoff over the current system. But do you really expect LSU and Alabama fans to boycott the BcS title bowl because the system is stupid? Do you really think you could ever get that to happen?

Again, reading comprehension issues. I never called for a boycott, I said in no uncertain terms that the only way the system changes is when people just get so fed up that the interest wanes in the product. As long as people continue to follow it and support, they are supporting the BCS. Just acknowledge it and dispense with the playoff talk.

YEah I'm joining you on that bus. I was annoyed with it but then realized who cares? We knew what the system was before.

      • I think most Michigan fans would have much rather played a game to make the Rose Bowl, knowing that losing sent them to Florida, rather than being handed the Sugar Bowl without playing. The Sugar Bowl is nice, but a shot at the Rose Bowl > Sugar Bowl IMO.

            • The spartans are better and I'll even bet many UofM fans think so. But again that doesn't mean anything to getting to go to the sugar bowl and playing VT.

Are you enjoying that sting though?

No, I've been arguing the same thing for 10 years. And I argued for you guys back in 2006. Its certainly not making me cRaZeEeEeE , if they got sent to the Maaco Bowl, that would though. Embrace the BCS, the BCS is good for a Michigan fan, dipsense with the phony playoff talk.

If anything the Alabama/LSU rematch is much more irksome. The same people arguing that you needed to win your conference to be in a national championship game are now arguing that opposite side. And you guys are strangely silent. If the shoe was on the other foot, you can expect the Southern Hypocrites would be complaining.

Wouldn't you rather watch whatever bowl game spartie plays in next year?

                      • I still don't really see how the BcS is so good for Michigan. We've been (arguably) screwed by it and things are no different than they were before the BcS.

If there weren't BcS selections, Michigan would still get selected to a higher profile game than spartie because they had comparable seasons with Michigan finishing stronger and being the bigger name with the bigger following.

                        • Under the old system you don't get to one of the 4 main bowls with that season. Under that system, there was only two at large bids. The BCS is very good for Michigan, Michigan is very interested in keeping the status quo.

                          • As an addendum to that prior post. Its very hard to seperate the bowls from the current BCS. Some people like to do that, but its really two sides of the same coin. The BCS subsidizes the lower tier bowls. So if you didn't have the BCS, you would still have the bowls and thats good for Michigan. And you should be happy about it!!
