Well true, but Belien's system is not sexy looking to big time athletes. Much like Georgetown. Georgetown recently landed Smith-Rivera, but had been struggling the last couple years against other elite programs in the recruiting battle.

Coach K's system is get the best NBA ready players and roll out the ball. Roy Williams is pretty much the same. Calipari same thing. Thad Motta, most of these top programs don't have a real system.

The more regimented the system the harder it is to get the top notch players. Izzo runs into this problem. He gets good recruiting classes and has had tremendous success, but a lot of times his long NCAA runs end when they face teams that have 2 or 3 NBA players. Those types don't like getting yelled at for not playing hard enough defense. He doesn't go outside the midwest all that much and shies away from the one and done types.

No, I know he's the green and gold's savior. Still, there are some signs that he may be getting a little burned out.

Maybe last year was just a hiccup or maybe his players started tuning him out.

Not a pretty game and there were some bad calls at the end. That said, -2 in the turnover battle, 4 dropped passes and a fumbled PAT snap hurt our cause even more.

It was a 50-50 call. Had they called it a TD and reversed it, I'd be furious, but the call on the field was incomplete.

In the long run, maybe Borgess will think twice before asking Denard Robinson to be Drew Brees.
